Aim and Purpose
With the highest rate of urbanization, the cities of the South are often unprepared for this growth and struggle with a lack of infrastructure and scarce resources. African cities have an average of 60-70% informal neighborhoods with little to no infrastructure, inhabited by the country’s most impoverished population.

However, despite this high percentage of informal neighborhoods, the cities of the South do not collapse thanks to informal infrastructure.
Harnessing this informal potential for self-organization, economic activity, and creativity is the basic concept of the Museke Association, which uses a participatory approach to propose sustainable solutions for integral and resource-efficient urban development.

The Museke Association promotes social and environmental projects and concepts to address global development, the worsening inequalities in cities, whose challenges are increasing due to climate change, pollution and lack of resources, with sustainable and innovative solutions.
