As an industrial economist, Mr. Lamine Ba has held the position of Business Environment Director at APIX since 2012. There he coordinates the work of the Presidential Investment Council of Senegal, with the primary mission of improving the business climate and elevating Senegal in international rankings.
Before joining APIX, Mr. Ba worked for various public organizations (UNESCO, UNDP, UNIDO, Department of the Environment, CRES, CREA) and private companies , giving him an excellent knowledge of
national and international businesses and investment contexts.
As a country expert for Senegal, Mr. Ba took part in preparing economic policy documents at the national, regional (UEMOA, ECOWAS), and continental (African Union) level and regularly represents Senegal during negotiations.
In his commitment to serving the community, Mr. Ba is Executive Director of MeetinAfriKa, a non-profit association that promotes African know-how and the culture of private investment.
